Individual counselling can be helpful for adults who are going through life-transitions, emotional, social or identity challenges. These sessions will aim to develop and improve your self-esteem, emotional-regulation, resilience, and social skills. Your personal values and goals will be the driver of the sessions to ensure you move closer to who you want to become.
Counselling for children and teens are available from the age of 5 years old, depending on the child's verbal skills. The counselling approach will involve play-based interventions and a supportive relationship which will allow your child/teen to openly express their experiences and challenges. This way emotional, social and behavioural challenges can be explored and improved on. I will also provide parental guidance for practical parenting style adjustments that suits your child's needs to strengthen your parent-child bond and your child's overall well-being.
Family counselling offers a calm space for mediation between family members of any age. The aim will be to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, broadening empathy for one another, and exploring ways to navigate difficult life changes as a family. If parents still have very young children, parental guidance can be provided to the parents alone.
School-readiness and child development assessments are conducted with children in Primary School with school-related challenges, as well as social-emotional challenges. The aim if to identify cognitive and motor challenges that your child might be experiencing. Recommendations for study methods, classroom management for their teachers, and other assessment recommendations will be made after the assessments have been completed. If needed, a referral to an Educational Psychologist will be made.
Teen and Adult Career Counselling aims to help your teenager clarify their career direction through exploring their personality traits, cognitive strengths, values, and interests through assessments and questionnaires. These sessions will support informed decision-making for study pathways, job searches, and long-term career planning. Resources and recommendations will be provided at the end of the process.
Adults who are either figuring out what they want to do for work, or who are seasoned professionals in their field aiming to make a career change, will benefit from these sessions. We will explore your career goals and align them in a direction that aligns with your strengths, values and personality. Psychometric assessments might also be introduced if needed, but this is not always necessary.
